Where To Shop For Cruelty-free and Vegan Beauty in London

April brought some amazing cruelty-free news such as New Zealand Passing A Ban On Animal Testing. Tashina from Logical Harmony explained very well what this actually means so please read her post about New Zealand Animal Testing Ban to get familiar with the subject about animal testing.
Sadly, not everything is black and white and even bans like this one still have some holes. For example, the ban will not impact international brands, (similar to the EU ban) which test on animals under the “required by law” schemes ex. China. HOWEVER, we can all avoid these nasty brands (we live in 2015, we do not need animal testing for cosmetics!) and I did a little something to help you start exploring new animal-friendly options. Whether you want cruelty-free, vegetarian or vegan items, there are many options out there.

This is a guide for where to shop for cruelty-free and vegan beauty products in London. You might find it interesting, whether you live here or just visiting. There are obviously many place, but I highlighted some main ones in the centre. These places are not 100% cruelty-free, but they do offer animal-friendly products.

The new list with tons of amazing vegan brands is constantly being updated HERE. Go to All Vegan. All Good. to find amazing vegan brands.

Bayswater - If you are in this area, I suggest you go to Planet Organic; a healthy shop chain similar to Whole Foods Market, however smaller. They offer lovely cruelty-free (and vegan) beauty products. The selection in Bayswater is not massive, but you could find some great products. This is where I got my La Couleur Couture nail polish. While you are in the area make sure you check out Superdrug for some cheaper options. Their brand B. by Superdrug is also included in my 100 % Vegan Beauty Brands - mini guide. Not all the items they sell in their stores are cruelty-free and vegan, so just make sure you check out the labels and look for certificates.

Oxford Street - Lush (I love their lipstick collection), The Body Shop (still cruelty-free, but sadly bought by L'oreal, which tests on animals. It is up to you to decide whether you want to support such brand or not), Superdrug (also all over the place :)), Content Beauty & Wellbeing.

Kensington and Piccadilly Circus - Whole Foods Market (I bought one of my favourite perfumes there; Island Vanilla by Pacifica), Appuru, The Organic Pharmacy.

All Over the place Holland and Barrett, Superdrug, Boots (only a few cruelty-free brands such as EcoTools and Original Source), Marks and Spencer (some of their shops offer cruelty-free items).

West London - Do you want a new haircut? You can visit The Rabbit Hole - a vegan hair salon.

Psst! If you are tired at the end of your shopping spree, you should stop at Tibits (a vegetarian restaurant with many delicious vegan options near Piccadilly) or Vitao (a vegan restaurant in Oxford Street).

If you are in the UK and prefer to buy beauty products online, then you might like an online shop Cute Cosmetics.

Do you have any favourite places to shop in for cruelty-free beauty?
