Vegan Life Magazine

There was a big festival in London this weekend called VegFestUK and I was happily surprised when I saw how many people showed up. The stalls were amazing; you could get almost everything - amazing food, fashion items, support charities, listen to different speeches etc. And everything was cruelty free! :) All this was going on and I somehow managed to take no photos :( In my defense, my hands were full; because I was carrying around several bags with the items I had purchased, and I had the biggest smile on my face.

I was incredibly excited when I saw a Vegan Life Magazine stall, which had a special festival price of £1 and that I was finally able to get my hands on it. I read it as soon as I came back home (after munching on some delicious chocolate from Science kitchen).

I was pleasantly surprised with the content - it is happy, positive and filled with interesting stories and information.

All the food photos made me hungry, which is not the best thing when you are already in bed at midnight. I somehow talked myself into not getting up and going to the kitchen. Don't know how I managed to do it, but I was proud this morning when I realized my cravings didn't win the night before.

Do not get me wrong though, this magazine has so much more to offer than just recipes and general food articles. I found everything from traveling to fashion and beauty (yay!) and as I already mentioned some very inspiring stories. I was defenitely not surprised when I found out the magazine had already won the best publication at VegfestUK awards 2014. Congratulations! :)

Let me know if you have any magazines you'd like to recommend x

** I just finished this post and my boyfriend surprised me with some flowers. It is a nice day :)

Traveling with Alverde

When on the go, I try to avoid carrying around beauty products that take too much space. I normally visit shops that sell samples: this time I had some luck in one of the DM shops in central Europe. I saw three cool cruelty-free products by a brand Alverde, which are always useful when I am exploring the world.

Although I wanted to find more products, I was still very pleased with my purchase. I got shampoo with almond and argan oil for dry hair, mouthwash with mint and shower gel (all 50ml, which is perfect for traveling by plane as well). All these products have Natrue certificate.

These are my current best friends on the go. They were super cheap (I spent less than 3 euros on them combined - I forgot the exact price; I am good with loosing receipts). Although I am not the biggest fan of some of the ingredients (such as alcohol, perfume and some other ingredients that I don't really know how to pronounce. I live by a simple rule - most of the things I can't read probably don't belong in or on my body) I think these products offer an amazing quality for the asking price. Also, the majority of the ingredients that I don't like are written at the bottom of the ingredient list, which means only a small percentage of it is made up by these strange substances. Not bad :) I also like that this brand offers a lot of cruelty free options and they are made in Germany. Guten Tag!

You can see how tiny the products are. Aren't they cute?! Also, you can see my nails are quite short at the moment. This is because I am occasionally helping in the orchard picking the apples, (yes, it is that time of the year already!) and I have to be careful not to damage them with my sharp nails.

I have been using Alverde products every now and then (one of the main reasons is the super affordable price), but I haven't use these 3 products yet. I am sure they won't let me down during my traveling. Here they are again:

1. Alverde Shampoo

2. Alverde Mouthwash

3. Alverde Shower Gel

What are your favorite products when you are on the go?

Giveaway: Natural Beauty Products

Surprise! I am really excited to let you know that I will be giving away these amazing products by the brand Yanumi, which I already mentioned in one of my previous posts. I purchased 100% organic shea butter (the same as the one in the photo in the black packaging) a few months ago and I have been using it ever since. I am beyond satisfied with it; it has been a part of my daily skin routine, sometimes I even apply it to my hair and my sister once used it for her baby (I am a good auntie! ;)). I like its effect on my skin - it is like a moisturizer and I love using it after a shower; when my skin gets all dry, before bed; instead of a night cream or in the morning; if the skin on my face feels tight. Being super satisfied with the products, I wanted to share them with you so I contacted the company for permission to have a giveaway with their products. They were really nice and surprised me with four different products!

Details about how to enter the Giveaway are written below.

Here are the products:

1. 100% Raw Organic Shea Butter with Almond Oil (in a shape of a heart)
Ladies, one word - the smell! (I guess that makes two words now…). If I could name this product, I'd call it Romance. The packaging, the scent… I am definitely getting this one for myself soon. It moisturizes the skin, makes it soft and gives it a youthful glow.

2. 100% Raw Shea Butter Lip Balm with Lavender
Again, I love the simple, but cute packaging and being a big fan of lavender (my friend brought me a whole bouquet the other day - thank you B. x) this one is a winner for me, too. It moisturizes your lips and makes them soft, which makes it a good product for cooler days (that are sadly coming) when our lips need some extra protection.

3. 100% Pure Organic Apricot Kernel Oil
Another pretty package (as mentioned in my previous post, I really like color yellow so no wonder this product caught my eye), which was sadly a bit damaged when I opened the packet. The oil is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, B17, D and E. It is suitable for dry, mature and sensitive skin and it can be used by pregnant women and on babies. I am not pregnant and I do not have children, but I do have dry skin so I will probably try this one as well. The oil also strengthens the hair to the ends and makes it shine. Yes, I am getting this one myself, too.

4. 100% Raw Organic Shea Butter
As I am writing this post I am also smelling my shea butter, which is the same as the one in the photo above, but smaller. Mine is 70ml, but Yanumi team was kind enough to send the 120ml one! You can read more about my first purchase here.

By now you probably want at least one of these products as well, don't you? :)

Go to my Facebook page: Aniqa Dreams
1. Like AniqaDreams Facebook Page
2. Like and Share the Giveaway photo
3. (If you want) leave a comment telling me which product you'd like to receive and if you are one of the 4 Giveaway winners, I will do my best to send you the product that was your favorite:)

I will randomly choose 4 winners and send them the products.

Good luck

I love handmade: Yellow Bird Earrings

Being quite busy thanks to my exams (which is the reason why I am not posting that often these days), I decided to take a break and visit one of my favorite independent shops with handmade items. I wanted to treat myself with a tiny present for being a good student (I guess). The color yellow was never my favorite, but for the past few years it has always put a smile on my face and I find it very positive and happy, if that makes any sense. This is why I was looking for yellow jewelry and I saw these cute yellow birdies made by local Slovenian designer (that's in central Europe, although some books put the country elsewhere :D) Lintu.

As I already mentioned in one of the previous posts, I love handmade; the fact that you know the product is unique, made with love and that by purchasing you support (local) designers. I like! Here are the rest of the photos of my Lintu earrings that I wanted to share with you. I get a lot of compliments and I love wearing these beauties, because they are a bit different :)

I squeaked silently when I noticed the bag that the sales lady was about to put the earrings in. Look how pretty it is! There is no way I am throwing it away.
